3rd Professional Year

In the 3rd Professional year, students take the compulsory capstone project course and the paper ENEL429 Computer Hardware 2 plus electives from across Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Computer Science and Software Engineering. The electives normally be chosen as follows-on from the options taken in 2nd Professional. Exemption from a pre-requisite course is subject to approval of the Director of Computer Engineering.

Students who are bridging the 2nd and 3rd Professional years cannot enrol in ENCE427.

Special Topics (ENEL441, ENEL442) are run from time to time to make use of the expertise of visitors to the Department. These will be advertised when offered.

Third Professional Year Elective CE Papers

Students must must selective elective papers using one of the three  (3) rules below:
  • 1 ENEL level 400 paper plus 4 COSC level 400 papers
  • 2 ENEL level 400 papers plus 3 COSC level 400 papers
  • 3 ENEL level 400 papers plus  2 COSC level 400 papers
